Being coined as Dog Geeks doesn't come without a nose in a book. Despite both the Registered Veterinary Technician and Certified Professional Dog Trainer designations having mandatory continuing education, our Training Instructors truly enjoy learning. Low Stress Working Environment
Attending a new space with new smells can be over whelming for some dogs, we strive to create a low stress environment that is conducive to learning. We utilize our class training experience to intentionally place seating and students in specific areas to promote a safe learning environment. Each student has their own work space. We have chewies and IQ games available to occupy and reduce stress in your dog and we encourage you to take your dog on a sniff walk in the large grassed area across from Dog Geeks!

Our Training Instructors ethically follow LIMA behaviour intervention policy (Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive) and strategically use motivating techniques and games to keep training fun!

Our Training Instructors are equipped with a wealth of knowledge but we also have a large library of dog literature on our website and at our facility which is fully available to our students.
We also utilize our extensive list of colleagues to stay up to date on new training techniques and for consulting purposes.
